The Bajoran Resistance was an organised resistance movement against the Cardassian occupation of Bajor. It was considered by the Cardassian Union to be a terrorist organisation.

The Resistance ran a campaign of terror against the Cardassians, which included assassinations, bombings and various other attacks against Cardassian facilities and individuals. The Resistance did not necessarily see any distinction between Cardassians on Bajor who were part of the military and those who were civilians.[1]

They also killed anyone that saw as a collaborator.[2]

The Resistance used a highly effective cell structure, which made the Resistance extremely difficult to contain, let alone destroy. This limited the damage to the whole of the Resistance by the capture and torture of members of the Resistance. Typically a cell was made up of ten to twenty members and was named after the leader of that cell.[3][4]

The Resistance's campaign against the Cardassian eventually helped to see the end of the occupation with the Cardassians abandoning Bajor. Following their regained independence the Resistance members returned to whatever lives they had before they joined. Some went on to join the Bajoran Militia and others even entered into politics.[5]
