Brendan Patol was a Human member of the Maquis. He was a known leader of a cell.
In 2372, he arranged to meet Rex Callan at Sam's bar in Shillings Crater on Tavvis II in the Demilitarised Zone. Unknown to Callan the meeting was a holographic test to see what skills he possessed. Patol posed as the port master until after Callan defeated the opponents arrayed against him Patol revealed himself. After giving Callan a final chance to leave he welcomed Callan into his cell.[1]
