The El-Aurians were a humanoid species native to the El-Aurian system in the Delta Quadrant. They possessed some empathic abilities and were known as a race of "listeners".
In 2265, their homeworld was attacked by the Borg and only a few escaped. The survivors scattered across the galaxy.[1]
