Gowron was a Klingon politician who served as the Chancellor of the Klingon High Council during the 2360s and 70s.
In 2367, Gowron was elected as the new Klingon Chancellor.[1]
In 2372, Gowron pulled the Klingon Empire out the Khitomer Accords after the Federation Council denounced the Klingon invasion of the Cardassian Union.[3] At the end of the year Gowron sent the Federation an ultimatium for them to evacuate the Archanis sector or they would be forced out. When the Federation did not the two states went to war.[4]
Three months later after General Martok was exposed as a Changeling Gowron agreed to a ceasefire in the war.[5]
In 2375, Gowron was killed by Worf in a duel over after Worf challenged his leadership towards the end of the Dominion War.[2]
