Gravity (g) is a force of attraction between two bodies, the greater the mass the more pronounced the effect.

In the Federation standard gravity is measured as compared to that of Earth. That means if a planet had a gravity of 1.1 g, it would be 10% heavier gravity than that of Earth. Class M planets typically have a gravity similar to that of Earth.

The effects of gravity can be mimicked by technology allowing starships and space stations to have standard and adaptable gravity.
