The Korvat system is a binary (twin Class F stars) star system located in Federation space in the Beta Quadrant near to the Federation-Klingon border. (Star Trek: Star Charts)
The system contained at least three planets, the third was the location of a Federation colony. Star Trek: The Farthest Star: "Chariots of Korvat"
The system was invaded by the Klingon Empire in 2373 during the Federation-Klingon War. During the subsequent battle the Klingons were repelled and the system remained under Federation control. Star Trek: The Farthest Star: "Chariots of Korvat"
